Etymologically, the word porphyry comes from the Latin “porphyra”, which means “purple stone.”
This terminology was utilized by Egyptians and Romans in order to assign a specific red volcanic stone that was much more resistant and harder
than the granite itself.This natural stone had kept throughout the centuries an immense historic, symbolic and esthetical meaning, remaining as
a unique material for paving and coating. Its physic characteristics and the cohesion of the minerals that formed it, allow to the building to be
eternal even under the most adverse climatic conditions.

Branosera Sandstone.
This sandstone is being from centuries for pavements of public squares and streets,
emphasizing its old and historical aspect.
Thanks to its non-slip properties and resistance to the marine saltpetre, it is very used in maritime walks.
It is available in rubble-stone for walls, rustic paving stone, flagstones as well as cut-to-size tiles for pavements and coatings,
always with natural face finished.

basically decorative (Landscape, Pavements, Walls, Coatings, Restoration...)
Portuguese Calçada Paving - White.
The Portuguese mosaic, commercially known like Portuguese Calçada, is a type of splitted stone cubes, generally limestone,
specially used for street pavement as well as public spaces in general.
Portuguese Calçada Paving - Black.
The more usual colors are the black, white and pink, and the measures of the cubes are from 5 cm. to 15 cm.
This allows to use several combinations in the execution of paving works (Emblems, Symbols, Anagrams and any type of customized drawing).
